Prepare for Flu Season

With the added risk of COVID-19, it’s more important than ever to protect yourself and the ones you love by getting a flu shot.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends everyone six months of age and older receive the flu vaccine before the beginning of the flu season each fall.

You’ll pay $0 for your flu shot at one of our in-network participating pharmacies. Check the links below to see where you can get your flu vaccine this season—it’s more important than ever.

  • All CareFirst members in MD, D.C. and Northern VA (view service area) can visit these regional participating pharmacies for their vaccines.
  • Members who have CareFirst prescription drug benefits through a medium or large employer (with 51 or more employees) can get their vaccines at these national participating pharmacies in any state.
  • CareFirst members living outside of Maryland, Washington, D.C. or Northern Virginia who have prescription drug benefits through their employer but with a different carrier (not CareFirst), can get their vaccines:
    • From an in-network covered provider, such as their primary care provider
    • From pharmacies who participate with their prescription benefits carrier (their employer or prescription benefit carrier can provide this list)
